Climate change in real estate sector

1.jpg

In Spain, the state of climatic emergency was declared on September 17, 2019. The biggest problem comes when more than 26% of COâ‚‚ emissions come from the real estate sector. In fact, the same European real estate sector has agreed and has proposed reducing at least 80% or more COâ‚‚ emissions by 2050. This will lead to a thorough reconstruction of the sector.

To achieve this goal, a decarbonization will have to be carried out that will represent a great change in the construction and promotion of sales. On the other hand, we find a great inconvenience, since the previously built houses will have to be reformed and rehabilitated to make them sustainable real estate.

Now that we are aware of the seriousness of this problem, we can see ways to take advantage of the environment to make our home a more sustainable place.

  • Orient the house to take full advantage of sunlight.
  • Use of renewable energy as solar panels.
  • Construction of passive and ecological houses.
  • Use A + or higher appliances and LED bulbs.
  • Recycle and use recyclable materials for construction.

In Agenthia we are committed to fight against climate change and we advise you to inform you of all possible options to improve this threat.
