The characteristics of an ecological house

Our day to day has adapted to a lifestyle much more ecofriendly and more aware of preserving the natural wealth of the planet Earth. And architecture could not be less.

A new trend that is increasing preetty fast, and we love for its commitment to the environment, are green homes.

A green home is built in an unconventional way to minimize their impact on the environment, enabling sustainable development in order to generate their own resources.

One of the main features is the use of special devices for generating energy. For example: to produce electricity, it is installed on the roof a solar panel or a solar heater, devices that help generate energy through sunlight. All lighting in the house is equipped with LED lights, saving up to 80% energy.

Another example is the installation of systems for capturing rain. They are located on the roof and filter rainwater to store it in a tank. Subsequently, this water is distributed through a hydraulic circuit to be used.

Another feature of green homes is the material with which they are built; materials that do not degrade the environment and a nature friendly manufacturing. A few examples of organic materials are eco brick, PET film (made of polyethylene and polypropylene), PET blocks (made from recyclable plastic), ecological adobe (clay, sand and straw), cane, bamboo or hemp concrete (high level of thermal insulation and manufacturing with low emisión of carbon).

So if you are planning to contribute to the environment, is not a bad idea to move to a green home. You will have all the amenities you always wanted and respect the nature at the same time!
